There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
Wise Guys AZ LLC staff "prune to please". We assess the wildlands/urban interface of your concerns and clear personal and wild land space to reduce the impact of wildfires on the area. And, we do so in line with general mitigation guidelines as well as the property owner's personal interest.
Wildfire mitigation is action taken BEFORE a wildfire ignites to reduce its severity and negative impacts such as destruction of homes, out buildings, and property.
It's the buffer zone you create between your property and the surrounding wildland area. We do what's called 'creating islands of plants and 'deer trail paths' in between. The idea is to slow down fire progression.
Now that you've got it clear, let's keep it that way!
We offer regular maintenance to keep your property trimmed, clear, and mitigated all year long.“You let brush move in, next thing you know, it runs the joint.”
Get in the zone!
Zone 0 (0-5 feet): This immediate area around the house should be kept free of all flammable materials, patio furniture, certain plants, leaves, pine needles, and wood mulch. Some research is showing watered/drip-line green plants near the home may actually be helpful.
Zone 1 (5-30 feet): Thin trees and large shrubs to create adequate spacing (at least 10 feet between tree crowns) and remove ladder fuels (vegetation that allows fire to climb into the tree canopy). Keep the grass well-watered and mowed short. Tree thinning based on canopy varies from area to area. Let's get it assessed and find out.
Zone 2 (30-100 feet): Continue thinning trees and shrubs, increasing the spacing as you move further from the house (e.g., 12 feet between crowns for trees 30-60 feet away, 6 feet between crowns for trees 60-100 feet away). Remove dead and dying vegetation, and consider planting fire-resistant species. Again, crown spacing varies in different regions. Let's get it assessed.
